OUT WEST TRIP

PITTSBURGH PIRATE BASEBALL GAME
We are setting up a trip to Pittsburgh to see the Pirates play the Chicago Cubs on August 1, 2018. This will be an overnight trip. The price will be $250.00 per person based on double occupancy. We need to know an exact number by March 1st. If you are interested, please call the Parsons Center at 304-478-2423. We only have about 10 names at this time. The availability of the tour of the stadium and batting practice depends on the exact number of participants. As of now, we will be stopping at the Trolley museum near Washington, PA on the way to the park and we have reservations at the Sports Museum and shopping in the Strip District on Thursday before returning home.
MYRTLE BEACH TRIP
Our Myrtle Beach trip is scheduled for September 9th to 14th. The cost is $775 per person based on double occupancy. Please call the Parsons Center at 304-478-2423 to get your name on the list. We realize it is hard to think of the beach when it is cold outside but perhaps thinking about it and scheduling the trip will make you feel warmer. We must have our list before March 14th or we will have to cancel this trip. The first payment isn’t due until April 5, 2018.
PARSONS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
The Parsons Center will hold its monthly birthday celebration on Thursday, February 15. We will honor those having a February birthday with the singing of “Happy Birthday” and a delicious cake provided by WV Caring. Please join us in the fun and fellowship.
PAPER PRODUCTS BINGO
The Parsons Center will be having their monthly paper products bingo on Friday, February 16, 2018 after lunch. Please join in the fun and win some very useful prizes.
HOLIDAY CLOSING
Both of the Tucker County Senior Centers will be closed on Monday, February 19th in observance of President’s Day. They will reopen on Tuesday at their regular times.
MT. TOP OUTPOST
The Mt. Top Center will be holding their monthly Outpost on Tuesday, February 20th. Our SHIP representative will give a brief talk before we enjoy some beautiful singing by Judy Kisamore. Please bring your favorite covered dish and join in the fun and fellowship.
WINTER CELEBRATION AT PARSONS CENTER
The Parsons Center will be having a Winter Hearts Celebration on Thursday, February 22, 2018. The voting for King and Queen is now open and all participants are asked to stop by the office and get a ballot to vote. The day will also be filled with fun winter and Olympic events that are very easy to do. Most of the games will be done on the tabletops so everyone can participate. Please come and join the fun and see our king and queen be crowned on the 22nd. Activities begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch.
