Carol Mae Sigley Cale, age 74 years, a former resident of Saint George, WV and a resident of Baltimore, MD departed this life Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at her home at Baltimore, MD surrounded by her loving family. She had been in declining health and death was attributed to cancer.
She was born Monday, November 15, 1943 at Manown, WV a daughter of the late Roscoe and Rosie Hovatter Sigley. She was married to William Harrison “Harry” Cale, who preceded her in death April 10, 2004. Surviving are two sons, Danny Cale and girlfriend Linda Pauley, and Randy Cale and late girlfriend Kimberly, all of Baltimore, MD; three brothers, Harold Sigley of Kingwood, Roscoe Sigley, Jr., and Everett Sigley, both of Cleveland, OH; three sisters, Ruth Clawson of Grafton, Esther Casteel of Independence, and Betty Durmire of Cleveland, OH; and three granddaughters, Mandy Willhott, Alicia Randall, and Brittany Cale.
Preceding her in death are two brothers, Roy and William Sigley; and three sisters, Dolly V. Boyles, Sandy Durmire, and Christine Sigley.
She attended the schools of Manown WV, and retired in 2004 from General Motors at Baltimore, MD with thirty years of service where she won an award for redesigning seatbelts. She was a smart hardworking woman, enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening, loved her grandchildren and especially enjoyed the holidays and cooking large holiday meals for her family.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons from 5 to 8 PM, Wednesday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home, Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. Pastor Pat Cassidy will officiate and interment will follow at the Nestor Cemetery at Bull Run, St. George, WV.
