Patricia Jean (Sagace) Helmick, 65, passed away March 26, 2018 at her home. She was born March 18, 1953 in Elkins, WV a daughter of the late Pat Sagace and surviving Jean Sagace of Thomas, WV.


She is survived by her mother, Jean, sister, Mary Sagace of Thomas and her dog, Vito. She graduated from Mountaineer High School class of 1971. Preceding her in death, her father, Pat and brother Bob. She worked at Blackwater Falls State Park for over forty years in different capacities. She retired as an accounting tech with 18 years of service. She was also employed as a cashier at Mt. Top Convenience Store and she sold Avon products for over thirty years.
Patti enjoyed watching all kinds of sports, and was an avid WV Mountaineer fan. She was a 30 year football season ticket holder and traveled to various bowl games over the years.

Friends were received at Hinkle Funeral Home, Tuesday, March 27, from 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service being held at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was held, 10: a.m. Wednesday, March 28 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Timothy Grassi as celebrant. Interment followed in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patti’s memory to the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, PO Box 300, Thomas, WV 26292 or the Mountaineer Humane Society, PO Box 721, Davis, WV 26260. Hinkle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
