PATRICIA “JUDY” DYE PHILLIPS

PATRICIA “JUDY” DYE PHILLIPS, age 52 years, a resident of Hambleton, WV, departed this life Tuesday evening, May 15, 2018 at the WVU Hospital, Ruby Memorial at Morgantown, WV.  She had been in declining health.


She was born Thursday, October 20, 1966 at Harrisonburg, VA, a daughter of the late Otho Ray and Alice Mae Mason Dye.  She was previously married to Bernie Phillips, who survives.  Surviving are her companion, Randall Maurice Hanlin of Hambleton; one daughter, Allicen Rae Hanlin; two step-sons, Bernie “B.J.” Phillips, Jr. and David Phillips; one sister, Christina Lee and husband Lucas of Deep River, CT; two step-brothers, James Dye and wife Brenda of Elkview, WV and Jay Dye of Charleston, WV; one step-sister, Sue Martin and husband Jerry of Charleston, WV; Dottie and Donnie Hawley of Reedsville, WV and Melvin Hanlin of Davis, WV, Ann and Bob McElwain of Kerens, WV; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceding her in death are one step-brother, June Dye; and one step-sister, Rebecca Duffield.

She was a graduate of Tucker County High School with the class of 1984.  She was a former waitress for the Tucker Country Inn, worked for the Tucker County Senior Center and the Davis Medical Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Tech.  She was a member of the Hambleton United Methodist Church of Hambleton.  She enjoyed watching TV, decorating her house for all the seasons, working outside and helping people, and she was just an all around nice person.   She loved her daughter with all her heart.

The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m..  Final rites were conducted Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11 a.m.  Pastor Susie Metzner officiated, and interment followed at the Bethel Cemetery at Holly Meadows, WV.  The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for PATRICIA “JUDY” DYE PHILLIPS.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at; www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
