Dorothy Judy and daughter, Becky, welcomed the Mountaineer Garden Club to their home on Kohler Street for an educational evening of viewing the results of their container gardening.
Judy has been involved in container gardening for many years. She enjoys the ability to shift her plants without digging them up. She plants flowers and vegetables in the large containers. A more recent effort is her raised vegetable garden built by her husband Jimmy. The ability to weed and harvest without much bending is a great benefit. Judy emphasized that choosing the right container, plant and location, and soil and fertilizer has contributed to her success in this form of gardening.
