TVEMS Logo Contest

A logo is sometimes the first thing that a person sees when they get mail or see an advertisement.

Tucker County Schools realized they really didn’t have a logo that represented the school system, so at the beginning of this school year we created a contest asking students, teachers and staff to use their imagination to develop a new logo that would be used on all Tucker County Schools correspondence.

The winning logo was created by Mrs. Emilee Amaro a Special Education Teacher at Tucker Valley Elementary Middle School

The winning logo was created by Mrs. Emilee Amaro a Special Education Teacher at Tucker Valley Elementary Middle School.  Mrs. Amaro put her heart into this contest reflecting back to an experience as a child in elementary school, where she was faced with the challenge of acceptance from one of her teachers, it had detrimental effect on her self-esteem, which ultimately led to her career as an educator. She wants every young child to believe in themselves and know that others believe in them too.

When ask how she came up with her design, Emilee responded “Every action has a consequence whether it be positive or negative.  As adults, educators and school employees, we need to be aware of our actions and words and how they affect the young minds of our future. ‘Every Student Matters, Every Step Counts’, says it all. It’s the perfect way to convey a message that is so important to me personally.”
