Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School will be at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Parsons from July 23 – 27. All ages are invited to attend each evening from 6 – 8 p.m., with a closing program and picnic dinner on July 27.
Cake Walk
Parsons Chapter #91 will have a cake walk at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, at the Courthouse Square.
Dedication & Community celebration
The Davis Parks & Recreation Commission, Inc. will host a Dedication & Community celebration of the Myrtle “Mae” (Hockman) Shrader Rose Garden at the Davis Riverfront Park at 1 p.m., Saturday, July 21, 2018. Join the Davis P & R Commission, Inc. and “Mae’s” descendants as we celebrate the life of Myrtle “Mae” (Hockman) Shrader, First baby born in Davis, WV. Refreshments will be served after dedication.
Movie Night Monday

Refuge Church to host Car Show
The Refuge Church, in Gilman, will host a Car Show from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Aug. 11 at the church in Gilman. This is to be an annual event.
Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 50 entries. Awards will be Pastor’s Choice and the top 20.
Music will be provided by DJ Dan and there will be a Chinese Auction. The grills will be fired up and Hamburger and Hot Dog meals will be available.
A Glider, table and four chairs will be auctioned off. These items are all hand built by the pastor.

FREE ART CLASSES in Mill Race Park
A cultural walk through history with art is being offered to all children in grades Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth in the big pavilion at Mill Race Park each Friday beginning July 20 through August 10 from 10 until 11:30 a.m. by Parsons Revitalization Organization, Inc. (PRO) FREE OF CHARGE.
Week one will explore the 1600’s with Native American Dream Catcher, followed by Corn Husk Doll from the 1700’s, then Homemade Games played in the 1800’s, and ending with a painting depicting the 1900’s.
Paula Stahl, will be the instructor, with a special guest for the Homemade Games.
