Elkins, WV –  – Throughout the year, the Randolph-Tucker Children’s Advocacy Center encourages all individuals and organizations to take an active role in making our local community a better place for children and families. By ensuring that children are able to find help and heal from abuse, we can promote children’s social and emotional well-being and prevent further child maltreatment and trauma within families and communities.

CACs nationwide have committed not only to providing intervention services, but also stopping abuse before it starts.  In 2017 alone, Randolph-Tucker CAC provided child sexual abuse prevention education to more than 1000 individuals – adults and children.  RTCAC is fully committed to continuing this work, helping to educate and raise awareness so we can break the cycle of abuse.

Randolph-Tucker CAC will be hosting the 12th annual “Poker Run for Kids” event August 18, 2018.  This year’s route will begin at Montrose Community Building where registration and breakfast will be available beginning at 9 a.m.  Bikes will be riding as a pack, leaving at 10:30 a.m. and heading to their first stop at Patriots4 Outdoor Resort & General Store in St. George.  From there they will ride to Etam and over to Redhouse, MD.  Bikes will then head back down 219 toward Davis,  where they will stop by Mountain State Brewing Company to draw their next card.  Third stop will be the Senior Center in Harman,  and then onto the final stop, Smoke on the Water in Elkins,  where lunch, live music by Jason Hall Music, prizes and game will all be happening from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

Tickets are $25 per player, $10 per rider.  Pre-registration is recommended, but not required to ride.   You can Pre-register online at https://2018pokerrun-for-kids.eventbrite.com or by calling 304.630.2214.
