Manchin or Morrissey?

David Grimes by David Grimes
August 6, 2018

If you want somebody who has tried to take health care away from West Virginians, Patrick Morrisey is your guy. He’s running for United States Senate. As West Virginia Attorney General, Morrissey asked the Supreme Court to make insurance unaffordable by ending subsidies. If he had won, tens of thousands of West Virginians would no longer have been able to afford insurance. He lost.

Morrissey also joined two other lawsuits aimed at torpedoing the health care law. The man is determined to wreck our health care.
Why won’t Morrissey help West Virginians keep their health insurance?  He has no alternative to propose. And that’s the thing. These people don’t propose anything to replace what we’ve got.  President Trump said he would make insurance much better and much cheaper, and his plan would cover everyone. Where’s his plan? There isn’t one!
Patrick Morrissey wants Joe Manchin’s seat. Manchin is fighting hard so people with chronic illnesses aren’t shut out of the market. Do you know anybody with Type 2 diabetes or heart disease who can’t afford big monthly insurance bills? For their sake, vote for the Democrats. We need balance in our federal government, not more craziness.
