Eleanor (Jean) Parsons Hall, 90, of Bunker Hill, WV passed away peacefully on August 13 at her daughter’s home, surrounded by loving family members.


Jean was born on February 18, 1928 in Parsons, WV and was the daughter of the late Paul Alton Parsons and Frances Willard (Kalar) Parsons.

Jean is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Jack D. Hall of Bunker Hill, WV; her son Dan S. Hall of Boyce, VA; brothers Richard Parsons of Parsons WV, and Jack Parsons of Columbia, MD.

Jean is survived by her son Jack D. Hall, Jr. and wife Kathleen, daughter Gwendolyn M. Hall, all of Hagerstown, MD; daughter-in-law Linda Hall of Boyce, VA; sister Marlyn Stamey of Gainesville, FL; sister Carol Wingfield and husband William of Morgantown, WV; brother Paul Alton Parsons and wife Barbara of Thomas, WV; Jared Parsons and wife Nancy of Parsons, WV; sister Robyn Parsons of Richmond, VA; sister Gail Ross and husband Ron of Chesapeake, VA; sister Joann Criss of Modlothian, VA; nephew John Parsons and wife Cheryl of Burtonsville, MD; grandchildren Lance Berry of Hagerstown, MD; Jason Hall and wife Lisa of Berryville, VA; Justin Hall of Boyce, VA; Mendi Hall and husband Michael of Boyce, VA; Jen Maust of Smithsburg, MD; Matthew Vogt and Nichole Preston of Hagerstown, MD and Darren Vogt of Spring Hill, FL; seventeen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean was a long-time member of the Bunker Hill Presbyterian Church and will be fondly remembered for her faith, her love of family, and her travels with her husband Jack to every National Park and National Monument throughout the United States.

A memorial service will be held at the Bunker Hill Presbyterian Church, 9802 Runnymeade Road, Bunker Hill, WV on Saturday, September 1 at 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Bunker Hill Presbyterian Church of Bunker Hill, PO Box 660, Bunker Hill, WV 25413 or Hospice of Washington County, MD, 747 Northern Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742.
