The Tucker Valley Middle Football team opening the season last Wednesday August 29th at home against Moorefield. The Wildcats scored 2 times in the second half to get the win by the final score of 14-0.
In the first quarter both teams had trouble on offense as the score was 0-0 after one quarter. The second quarter was the same as the first quarter as the score remained 0-0 at the halftime intermission.
Tucker Valley got on the scoreboard in the third quarter after a 41 yard touchdown run by Trenton Wilfong. The 2 point conversion was good as Trenton Wilfong ran in the conversion to make the score 8-0 Wildcats after three quarters of play. Tucker Valley would score again when Trenton Wilfong scored on a 2 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter and the PAT failed to make the Wildcats lead 14-0. Moorefield was unable to score the rest of the contest and Tucker Valley picked up the home win by the final score of 14-0.
