BUCKWHEAT FESTIVAL TRIP
We are taking names for a trip to the Buckwheat Festival in Kingwood on Friday, September 28th. The places on the van will be filled in the order of the calls received. The price for the van ride is $5. You are responsible for your meals. We will leave Parsons around 10 a.m. and return at approximately 4 p.m. If interested, please call 304-478-2423 to get on the list. Please make your payments before Monday, September 24th so we are sure how many are going.
ST. GEORGE OUTPOST
The monthly Outpost will be held in St. George at the Methodist Church on Thursday, September 20th at 6:00 p.m. Please bring a friend and your favorite covered dish and join us for great food and fellowship.
PARSONS BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION
The Parsons Center will be holding their monthly birthday celebration for those having a birthday in September on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 11:15 a.m. Please come early and enjoy are Goldenaires Choir which begins at 10:30 a.m. A delicious cake will be provided by WV Caring.
PARSONS PAPER PRODUCTS BINGO
The monthly paper products bingo will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at approximately noon (after lunch.). This is a fun time and you can win many useful products. When the bad weather begins our volunteer will not be coming because of driving off the mountain. You may want to come now so you can stock up on paper products for the winter.
FLANAGAN HILL OUTPOST
The monthly Outpost will be held at noon on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Please bring a friend and your favorite covered dish to enjoy the great food and the good fellowship. There will only be 1 or 2 more Outposts at Flanagan Hill this year.
SPECIAL PROGRAM ABOUT HONEY BEES
September is National Honey week. We have invited Mr. Paul Poling to come to the Parsons Center on Wednesday, September 19th at 10:45 a.m. to talk to us about bee keeping and various facts about honey. Please join us for this interesting talk and get to taste several different kinds of honey. Lunch will follow at approximately 11:30 a.m.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS AT BOTH CENTERS
We will be having special programs at Mt. Top Center on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. and at Parsons Senior Center on Thursday, September 27, 2018 beginning at 10:30 a.m. We ask that the communities come to our Senior Centers on the most convenient one of these days to help us celebrate Senior Center Month. We will also have some community heroes we will be honoring at these programs. Please plan to come out and support your local Senior Centers.
