Julie Ann Bodkin passed away Saturday in her home in Worthington, WV after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Mary Jane Furbee Esultante. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 wonderful years, David Tyke Bodkin.
Julie was a ’69 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School where she excelled at the college/business curriculum. She attended Shawnee State Community College of Portsmouth, OH and Santa Rosa Junior College of Santa Rosa, CA. She retired as a Project Controls Specialist for CH2M HILL Corporation of Englewood, Colorado. She worked for many small and large contractors across the country including the Bechtel National, Inc. in San Francisco CA and FLOUR Engineers and Constructors of Irvine, CA.
She was a Methodist by faith and also member of the Pythian Sisters Hope Temple No. 71. She enjoyed cooking, golfing and gardening.
She is also survived by her brother Joseph and Missy Esultante of Colfax, WV; one niece Sonya Esultante of Colfax, WV and one nephew Lil Joe Esultante of Rachel, WV. She is also survived by her Aunt Jean Linn of Fairmont, WV and many loving cousins and friends.
Family and friends called at Ford Funeral Home, 201 Columbia St. Fairmont WV 26554, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19 and 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, September 20. Funeral services were held in the funeral home on Thursday, September 20, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Roy Weese officiating. Burial followed at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Fairmont, WV.
