This week’s photo is of Texie Wolford Lawrence (1904-2001). She was the daughter of “Claud” and Elizabeth “Doll” Cooper Wolford.
Both the Cooper and Wolford families were early pioneers of the Flanagan Hill Area. She was married to Daniel “Dan” Mason Lawrence. He was the son of Adam and Charlotte Burns Lawrence. She had the following siblings: Jasper, Feaster, and Jason. She also had a foster sister, Grace (Asa) Pennington. She taught school in various schools within Tucker County. I had a call about the four students who attended the Porterwood School. The person is working on their id; the students may be part of the Shaffer Family.
