The following citations have been recorded in the Tucker County Magistrate office:

  • Scott L. Weasenforth, Petersburg, was cited for no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge.  He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $200 and court cost of $165.25.
  • Todd J. Mason, Hambleton, was cited for speeding (74-65) by K.L. Keplinger.  He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
  • Noah C. Kerns, Inwood, was cited for expired MVI by Cpl. D.W. Burge.  The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
  • Matthew J. Cannon, Davis, was cited for no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge.  The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
  • Lisa M. Didonato, Buckhannon, was cited for expired registration and no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge.  She pled no contest to the first charge and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.  The second charge was dismissed with proof shown.
  • Sandra D. Frank, Davis, was cited for failure to maintain control by Cpl. J.E. Kopec.  She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
  • Emily A. Swecker, Beverly, was cited for shoplifting by Sgt. C.D. Siler.  The charge was dismissed.
  • William R. Callaway, Davis, was cited for no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge.  The charge was dismissed with proof shown.

The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:

  •  Garry Ronald Moore, Parsons, was charged with one count Domestic Battery.  The complaint states that on Tuesday, Oct. 2 Chief Deputy M. Sigley was dispatched to9711 Mountaineer Highway in reference to a domestic. Upon arrival he spoke with the defendant, who was sitting on the porch speaking with a DNR officer.  He advised he did not know what was going on.  Sigley spoke with Donna Moore and she advised that the defendant allegedly struck the left side of her face one time.  A reddish color and swelling around her left eye was evident.  Moore posted a $500 PR bond.
  • Shelly Marie Simmons, Montrose, was charged with one count Domestic Battery.  According to the complaint, on Sunday, May 27, TFC J.J. Schmidle responded to 1771 Pheasant Run in regards to a domestic battery.  Once on scene he made contact with the victim, Ashley D. Lipscomb.  He obtained a written statement.  She advised that her sister Shelly Marie Simmons, had been at the home in Montrose and began arguing with her.  She said that as the argument intensified, the defendant allegedly came over and pushed her while she was sitting down.  She said she stood up and the defendant allegedly hit her in the face and began pulling her hair.  She said her mother separated them and the defendant got in her vehicle and left.  Lipscomb did have an injury to her mouth which Schmidle photographed.  Simmons posted a $500 PR bond and a compliance hearing is scheduled for Oct. 18 at 11:30 a.m. before Magistrate William M. Miller.

The following cases have been ordered and adjudged in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:

  •  State of West Virginia verses William Carl Armstrong, III, Dry Fork, received judgment of Probable Cause Found for one count Malicious or unlawful assault causing bodily injury with intent to maim, disfigure, disable or kill and one count Strangulation of another without their consent.  This case was bound over to the Tucker County Circuit Court.
  • Fridley verses Ray DBA Canaan Realty, on Sept. 21 the court granted in favor of Donna Rae Fridley against Jenni Ray DBA Canaan Realty in the amount of $624 plus court cost of $80.
  • Richard Stone verses the City of Parsons, this case was removed to Circuit Court.
