PARSONS – The Tucker Valley Middle School Wildcat Football team hosted Petersburg last Wednesday October 10th. The Wildcats struggled on offense and the visiting Vikings offense got going in the second half to defeat Tucker Valley by the final score of 31-0.
Petersburg got the scoring started with 3:29 left in the first quarter with a touchdown and the PAT failed to make the score 6-0 after one quarter of play. An interception late in the first quarter by Tucker Valley gave the ball to Tucker Valley with good field position. The Wildcats could not sustain the drive and Petersburg got the ball back. The Vikings then drove down the field and scored with 6:22 left in the second quarter. The PAT failed to make the score 12-0 Petersburg. The second quarter would end and Petersburg led at the half 12-0.
In the second half Petersburg continued to roll on offense as they scored 2 touchdowns in the third quarter to push the Petersburg lead to 24-0 after three quarters. The visiting Vikings would add another touchdown in the fourth quarter and Tucker Valley failed to score in the contest to make the final score 31-0 Petersburg.
Tucker Valley(2-5) will travel to Tygarts Valley tonight October 17th for their last game of the season, kickoff is scheduled for 6:30pm. For more info visit TuckerCountySports.Com.
