TRAVEL NEWS

We are planning a trip to the Gandy Dancer Theater in Elkins on Friday, November 30, 2018 for their Christmas show. Please call the Parsons Center at 304-478-2423 and have your payments in before November 14th so we can get the tickets ordered. If you are riding the Senior Center van, the price is $38. If you want to be part of our group but want to provide your own transportation, the price is $33.

FREE LUNCH FRIDAY

The Parsons Center will be having a Free Lunch Friday on November 9th. This is sponsored by Davis Medical Center. They will be presenting a program on Estate Planning at 11:00 a.m. followed by lunch at 11:30 a.m. We invite you to attend this informative program and stay for lunch afterward.

CHARLESTON, SC

The final collection for the trip to Charleston, SC is Thursday, November 1st. We will be collecting from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Please remember to bring your payment coupon with you.

PARSONS OUTPOST

The monthly Outpost will be held at the Parsons Senior Center on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.  Our program for the day will include the Tucker County Veteran’s group. Please bring your favorite covered dish and join us as we honor those men and women who helped us get the freedoms we now have.

Just a side note—There is a “Women in Military Service to America” monument at Arlington Cemetery. If you know of a woman who has served in the Military and she is not aware of this, please contact Linda J Bonner at the Center to get a registration form or for more details. Only about half of the women who have served are registered. You may also go online atwww.womensmemorial.org to register or get more information.
