Veterans Day Ceremony
The Tucker County Veterans Association will have the annual Veterans Day ceremony at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11 at the Memorial Wall located at the intersection of US219 and WV72.
Historic Landmark Commission Meeting
The Tucker County Historic Landmark Commission is having a meeting on Tuesday, November 13 at 5 p.m. in the Tucker County Historical Society Museum. The Public is invited to attended.
Christmas House Tours
PRO ON TRAC will again be hosting Christmas House Tours this year on Friday, December 7 from 6 – 9 p.m. and Saturday morning, December 8 from 9 a.m.-noon. Three homes and one Historical Building will be decorated for the holidays and open to the public. Locations can be toured in any order on any date or combination of days. Tickets will be on sale beginning November 15 at City Hall and Shop ‘N Save for $7 each (good for all locations) and also at each home on the dates and times of the tours for $10. All proceeds will be used in the on-going revitalization of downtown Parsons. Watch for featured homes each week in the Advocate beginning Nov. 14.
Annual Veterans Day Reception
Canaan Valley Fire Department and Auxiliary will host the ANNUAL VETERANS DAY RECEPTION on NOVEMBER 11, 2018 AT THE CANAAN VALLEY FIRE HALLn from 2 TO 4 p.m. The Canaan Woman’s Club is a co-sponsor. It is open to all veterans living in area and visiting also.

Annual Pork Steak Dinner

4-H Sausage Feed
Tucker County 4-H Leader’s Association Sausage Feed will be fron 4 – 7 p.m. on Nov. 17 at the First United Methodist Church in Parsons. Biscuits, gravy, homefries, fruit cup and drink $6, single biscuit and gravy $2. Bake sale items and country meat stick will be available for purchase. Proceedes benefit the 4-H program.
