Stephen D. Yount, Charlotte, NC was cited for driving too fast for road conditions by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
Vernon V. Taylor, Mathias, was cited for no insurance by Cpl. D.W. Burge. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
Philip A. Cassidy, Hambleton, was cited for no seatbelt by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He was assessed fines of $25.
Mason R. White, Elkins, was cited for no insurance and expired MVI by Cpl. D. Burge. Both charges were dismissed with proof shown.
Linda S. Reeves, Aurora, was cited for no insurance and failure to obey stop sign by Cpl. D.W. Burge. The first charge was dismissed with proof shown and she pled no contest to the second charge. She was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
William Turc, Jr., Glen Burnie, Md. was cited for speeding (69-65) by Cpl. J.E. Kopec. He pled guilty and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
Olivia H. Dearmont, Winchester, Va. was cited for speeding (69-65) By Cpl. J.E. Kopec. She pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
Robert G. Millett, Jr. was cited for expired MVI by Cpl. D.W. Burge. He pled no contest and was assessed fines of $4.75 and court cost of $165.25.
Samantha J. Hall, Philippi, was cited for expire MVI by Cpl. D.W. Burge. The charge was dismissed with proof shown.
The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:
Barbara Moore, Parsons, was charged with one count of Truancy. The defendant did fail to cause a juvenile to attend regular classes with 11 full unexcused days. She posted a $100 PR bond.
Frank Willard Long, Jr., Hambleton was charged with one count DUI first offense and one count possession of controlled substance without valid prescription. According to the complaint, on Friday, May 18, 2018 Deputy C.A. Teter was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on WV72. Upon arrival he observed a Chevrolet Cavalier had struck a tree stump. The driver had been extricated by PVFD and transported to Davis Medical Center for injuries sustained in the crash. There was a box of Natural Light beer in the rear floor board. It should be noted that the driver, who was unresponsive, had been given “Narcan” by EMS personnel and DMC medical staff. There were also 20 round white pills with 54/422 imprinted on it (Buprenorphine), and two rectangular pills with G372 2 imprinted on it (Alprazolam “Xanax”) and a clear glass pipe found on his person by EMS personnel while in route to DMC. Teter filed a search warrant before Randolph County Magistrate George Riggleman for the medical/toxicology records for Long from May 18, 2018. The urine drug screen was positive for Amphetamine/Methamphetamine, marijuana and benzodiazepines. But did test negative for Suboxone. The defendant posted a $1,500 PR bond.

WVU Hospital, Inc. verses Arnold: On Jan. 28 the court found in favor of WVU Hospital, Inc. against Charles B. Arnold in the amount of $1,268.11 plus $80 court cost. This case was heard by Magistrate Riley H. Barb.
