John Stanley Freet Jr., 69, of Parsons, West Virginia passed away February 11, 2019 peacefully in his home surround by his family. He was born December 6th, 1949 in Youngstown, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents John Stanley Sr. and Thelma Lenore Rohrbaugh Freet. He is survived by his wife, Adelaide Jean Freet whom he married on June 24, 1973. Also surviving are four children, John S. Freet III and companion Lisa Dearian of Beverly, WV, Connie L. Freet and companion Christopher Knotts, of Harrisonburg, VA, Thelma A. McLaughlin and husband Austin of Port Orchard, WA, Toni J. Freet and compaion David Cooper of Parsons, WV, two sisters, Carol Frymyer and husband James of Parsons, WV, and Martha Frymyer and companion Terry Boyce of Clarksburg, WV, 14 grandchildren, Sherri Newlon and husband Bradley, John J. Waybright, Austin Poduch, Payge Pratt, Mary Waybright, Celina Freet, Sierra Freet, Austin McLaughlin, Talen McLaughlin, Patrick Dellinger, Matthew Dellinger, Tyler Wilcher and Logan Wilcher, five great-grandchildren, Dakota Newlon, Bradley Newlon Jr., Kingston Newlon, Savannah Newlon and Hailie Newlon. He was proceeded in death by on son, one grandson, and one granddaughter.
Mr. Freet worked over the years in the cemetery business. He loved fishing, watching TV, looking at deer, squirrels and birds. His favorite pastime was just sitting outside and relaxing.
Friends were received at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home Thursday, February 14, 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral services were held, 1 p.m., Friday, February 15 at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Cassidy officiating. Interment followed in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
