There is a new business opening its doors beside the Thomas Volunteer Fire Department at 45 Evergreen Alley. Lindsay Herron, licensed cosmetologist, is offering her services for the locals desiring some pampering.
She graduated from Fred Eberle Technical Center in May of 2018 after completion of the cosmetology courses. “I wanted to open my own salon because I’ve always liked the thought of owning my own business and working for myself”, she proclaimed. She came up with the name well before establishing a physical location and claimed naming her business was easy with the aesthetics of Thomas, West Virginia all around.
Herron offers haircuts, colors, highlights, balayage (free-hand painting hightlights with a gradual change from light to dark), perms, waxing, eyebrow tinting, and wash, cut, and styling options for everyone. She also offers microdermabrasian and basic facials as well. Microdermabrasian is a minimally invasive procedure used to renew overall skin tone and texture. It can reduce the signs of aging, sun damage, acne scars, and other types of skin irritants and concerns. Basic facial procedures will be an option in addition to microdermabraisan.
According to Herron, to her knowledge she will be the only one in the area offering the skin care routines and eyebrow tinting. “My goal is to make each guest feel comfortable and confident when they leave my salon”, she stated. Depending on the desire, she may offer eyelash extensions in the future as well as may consider hiring if business justifies. Herron is open for appointments Monday through Friday based on her clientele’s needs, which typically range from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
