The Tucker County Senior Citizens held their monthly Outpost at the Parsons Center on April 2, 2019. Evelyn Moore welcomed everyone. Everyone recited the Lord’s Prayer, gave the Pledge of Allegiance, and sang “God Bless America.”

Linda Bonner read the minutes of the March meeting and they were approved as read. Those having April birthdays were recognized. Only Burl Mason was present to be recognized. The group sang “Happy Birthday” to him.

Readings included: “Hello Spring” read by Meg Buddingh, “April Showers” by Arlene Ramsey, “Easter Sights and Sounds” by Jean Morrison, and “According to Thy Gracious Word” by Linda Bonner.

After Linda announced the trips for which they are taking names, she introduced the “Sonbeams” from the First United Methodist Church. They blessed the crowd with the following songs: “He’s Still Alive”, “Walking My Lord Up Calvary’s Hill”, “He holds Everything”, “Glorious Day”, “I Wouldn’t Take Nothing”, “Help is on the Way”, “He’s My Savior”, He Has Risen”, and “Power in the Blood.”

A blessing on the food was given by Jim Buddingh before we enjoyed a fantastic meal.

Door prizes were won by: Ida Workman, Annabel Moore, Sandra Mason, Shirley Cassidy, and Keith Weigel.
