Willard Eugene “Gene” Cross, 92 of Midland, VA died on April 17, 2019 at his home.
He was born on April 3, 1927 at Hendricks, WV, a son of the late Luther Levi Cross and Dora Nestor Cross. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Juliette Augusta Mertens Cross; and his siblings, J. Ray Cross, Vida Mae Thomasson, Wanda Whitehair, Charles Cross and Lillian Markley.
Mr. Cross was a retired MSCM with the U.S. Navy and also retired from Guest Services, Inc.. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Hamasa Shriner.
He is survived by his three sons, Daniel Cross, Bealeton, VA, Robert Cross and Michael Cross both of Fredericksburg, VA; one grandson, Danny Cross, Calverton, VA; sisters, Dolores Dorine Tilton, Pique, OH, Grace Polhemus, Grand Junction, CO, Karen Braner, Great Falls, VA and Judith Cottrell, Debary, FL.
He was interred in Parsons, WV on Thursday, April 25, 2019.
