Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge is in the process of building new offices and a new visitor center, but we are still open. During construction the visitor center has been moved into a temporary trailer in the current refuge parking lot. Our current hours of operation are Wednesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., but hours will be expanding on May 28 to Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Come see the temporary visitor center, or check in on the progress of construction. The refuge is looking forward to the new building, and the new opportunities it will bring with it.
