Shootout at the Depot – the Story of Tucker County’s Trial of the Century
Friends of Blackwater will host an illustrated lecture and reenactment of the 1897 trial of Robert Eastham on July 7 at 1 p.m. at the Cottrill Opera House. Learn how two Tucker County timber operators went from professional rivalry to sabotage and a deadly duel. This event is free. For more information email kate@saveblackwater.org or call 304-345-7663.

Free Friday will be at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on Friday, June 28, at 6 pm. The menu will be hot dogs with sauce and other condiments, other sandwich selections for those who aren’t hot dog fans, salads, baked beans, chips desserts, and drinks. Everyone welcome.
Cake Walk
Tucker County Veterans will be having a cakewalk on Saturday,, June 29
at 7 p.m. at the courthouse square. The Veterans will be serving hot
dogs. Cake donations will be appreciated.
Five Rivers Public Library
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Krispy Kreme Donuts will not be delivered on June 25. The new delivery date will be July 9. Pick your donuts up from noon to 5:30 p.m. on July 9.
