West Virginia Blueprint Community

The City of Parsons, earlier this year, was selected as one of the six new Blueprint Communities in our state is exciting, This program was created in 2005 by the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLBank) of Pittsburgh and have sense joined forces with The West Virginia Community Development HUB (the HUB) to help support a team of local citizens to facilitate the planning process, host input sessions and undergo training to acquire the knowledge needed to develop an action plan.

This program has proven to be successful in our state over and over in assisting the building of a strong local leadership, strengthening partnerships and laying the foundation for community development by working with the community to develop a strategic action plan towards success.

To CELEBRATE the City of Parsons selection into a BLUEPRINT COMMUNITY program and to “kick off” the new status there will be an old fashioned community FREE ICE CREAM SOCIAL Friday July 19 from 5 to 6 p.m. before the City of Parsons Concert in the Park Gospel Sing.
Your input is needed as to what DIRECTION you would like to see Parsons take.

Every resident plays an instrumental role in the BLUEPRINT COMMUNITIES process. Here and now is your opportunity to share your perspectives on the priorities you see Parsons needing to strengthen your community now and your vision for it in the future,
