DAVIS, W.Va., July 10, 2019 – Canaan Valley Resort has set its sights on even more fun by adding archery to its array of recreational offerings. Both archery and trap shooting are located at the Tube Park at the resort’s ski area and available throughout the summer.
“The instinct rules” said Jim Flynn, Range Safety Officer for the resort.
“Archery is a great way to clear your mind and stay in the moment.”
Located in West Virginia’s Potomac Highlands, the resort is surrounded by pristine natural beauty and offers a wide variety of outdoor activities that appeal to all generations and interests.
The new archery range features five ground-level shooting lanes equipped with standard three-foot round targets that can be set from 10 to 35 yard away. Right-handed and left-handed compound bows for youths and adults with a draw weight up to 30 pounds are available. Arrows are provided, and lessons are available.
The range is open Wednesdays through Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays noon to 4 p.m. The range is available on Mondays and Tuesdays by appointment only and with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.
