Warren ‘David’ Ball

Warren ‘David’ Ball, age 60 years, a former resident of St. George, WV and more recently a resident of Montrose, WV, where he made his home with his sister Linda for the past several years, departed this life Wednesday morning, August 28, 2019 at the United Hospital Center at Bridgeport, WV surrounded by his loving family and under the care of WVU Medicine Hospice. He had been in declining health.

He was born Thursday, October 9, 1958 at Parsons, WV a son of the late George Roscoe and Dorothea Leota Jefferies Ball. Surviving are one son, Matthew Warren David Ball of Mohawk, TN; two daughters, LeCynda Sierra Ball and companion Erich Trickett of Elkins, Khrystyna Eden Ball and companion Shawn Ice of Mohawk, TN; two brothers, “Billy” William George Ball and Willard Paul Ball both of St. George; four sisters, Betty Louise Ball of Winchester, VA, Linda Virginia Ball and husband Curtis Vandevander of Montrose, Patricia Lucille Worles and husband Tom of Elkins, Karen Sue Ball and Kevin Hebb of Parsons; six grandchildren, Alexis Ice, Cailin Ice, Shawn Ice, Jr., Kya Isner, Kamerohn Wilson, and Steffaniez “Annie” Ball-Trickett; one aunt, Evelyn Hott of Romney; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death is one daughter, Stephanie Renee Ball.

He attended Parsons High School, had worked in Maryland, at local lumber mills, the W.V. Department of Highways at Parsons, as a custodian for the Tucker County Board of Education, and Colonial Mill Works. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ramp digging, riding his 4-wheeler with the grandchildren, blue grass music, and watching westerns and wrestling on television.

The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday. Final Rites were conducted at the funeral home parlor, Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 11 a.m. Rev. Pat Cassidy officiated and interment followed at the Nestor Cemetery at Bull Run. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for Warren “David” Ball.
