MOOREFIELD — Tucker County traveled to Valley View Golf Course just outside of Moorefield on Tuesday August 27th for a match hosted by Moorefield. The Mt. Lions took the match with a first place finish as the team posted a score of 179.
Moorefield finished second with a score of 185, while Petersburg took third with a 191. Pendleton County rounded out the team scoring with a 222.
Leading the way for Tucker County was Harper Russell with a score of 39. Myles Paugh registered a 44 and Holden Young shot a 47. Wyatt Betler and Nathan Dearborn each scored a 49 to complete the scoring for the Mt. Lions in the victory.
DAVIS — The Mt. Lions hosted Pocahontas County and Pendleton County on Thursday August 29th at Canaan Valley Resort.
Tucker County had a team score of 174 to take home first place in the match. The Mt. Lions were led by Harper Russell with a 42. Myles Paugh and Holden Young scored a 43 each, while Nathan Dearborn shot a 46. Wyatt Betler finished the day with a score of 49.
