In July, the Parsons BluePrint Community Team held an ice cream social to celebrate the kickoff of the BluePrint Community process and learn more about what community residents wanted to see in Parsons.
Now – the Team is ready to share its Vision Statement for the future of Parsons and its First Priority Goal in achieving that vision. HINT: You helped the Team pick that first priority!
The Cake Walk is free and open to the public. It will be Saturday, Sept. 21 at 5 p.m. at the Court House. Every resident can play an instrumental role in the Blueprint Communities process. Come share your thoughts and ideas with the Team – we will share cake with you!
Earlier this year, the City of Parsons was selected as one of six new Blueprint Communities in West Virginia. The BluePrint Community Program provides supports and coaching to a local leadership team, helping the team and the community develop a strategic action plan to bring growth and revitalization to the community. The Blueprint Community Program was created in 2005 by the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLBank) of Pittsburgh. Together, FHLBank of Pittsburgh, Citizens Bank of West Virginia, our local member of FHLBank, and The West Virginia Community Development Hub (the Hub), are supporting our Parsons BluePrint Community Team.
