Elma Jean Plum Paolone, 83, a resident of Girard, Ohio, passed from this life Saturday, September 14, 2019, at home following a long illness.
Elma was born Sunday, March 15, 1936, in Hambleton, a daughter of the late Elmer Plum and Nellie Nestor Plum. On April 26, 1952, she married Louis Paolone. Louis passed away just two weeks before Elma.
Left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Barbara Sampson and husband Donald of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, and brothers, John (Pat) Plum, Jack (Carol) Plum, and Elmer Plum.
Preceding Elma in death besides her parents and husband are two children, Michael Paolone, and Kathleen Phillips, one grandson, Eric Paolone, one granddaughter, Kyla Carrillo, and six siblings, Helen Ours, Barbara Teets, Dorothy Scott, Robert Plum, Walter Plum, and David Plum.
Elma had moved to Youngstown in 1954. She devoted her time to caring for her family and her home. She loved to bowl and was on the Star Realty bowling league for many years.
Visitation was held at the Hostetler Funeral Home Saturday, September 21, 2019, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the funeral hour. Pastor Neil Parsons officiated and interment followed in McNeely Cemetery in Hendricks. The Hostetler Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements for Elma Jean Plum Paolone.
