SNOWSHOE – The Mt. Lions Golf team traveled to The Raven at Snowshoe Resort on Monday September 23rd to compete at the PVC Championship.
Tucker County took home the first place team win to capture the PVC Championship. Nathan Dearborn led the Mt. Lions with an 18-hole score of 85. Myles Paugh scored an 88 and Harper Russell carded a 99 for Tucker County. Holden Young had a 101 and Wyatt Betler came in with a score of 109 to round out the scores for the Mt. Lions. Team scoring was as follows: Tucker County(373), Moorefield(385), Tygarts Valley(437) and Pendleton County(460).
Tucker County’s Nathan Dearborn and Myles Paugh were named to the All-PVC team and Tucker County’s Head Coach Mike Cooper was named PVC Coach of the Year.
KEYSER – Tucker County traveled to Polish Pines Country Club in Keyser on Wednesday September 25th for a 6-team match.
Keyser took home the team victory with a score of 154. Tucker County got second with a score of 180, Moorefield(183), Frankfort(188), Allegheny,Md(207) and Mountain Ridge,Md(229).
Tucker County was led by Myles Paugh with a 41. The other Mt. Lions golfers finished as follows: Nathan Dearborn 45, Harper Russell 47, Wyatt Betler 47 and Holden Young 48.
DAVIS — The Tucker County Golf team hosted a match at Canaan Valley Resort against Southern and Northern Garrett on Thursday September 26th at Canaan Valley Resort. The Mt. Lions Nathan Dearborn took the low medalist honors with a score of 42 to help Tucker County win the match. Tucker County had a team score of 181, Northern 195 and Southern 212. Tucker County individual scores were as follows: Nathan Dearborn 42, Harper Russell 45, Holden Young 45, Myles Paugh 49 and Wyatt Betler 53.
Seniors Nathan Dearborn, Myles Paugh and Holden Young were recognized before the match.
