As interest in growing food and gardening continues to rise, West Virginia University Extension Service is helping new and seasoned gardeners gain tips, educational information and more via the 2020 garden calendar.
The calendar, themed “Rooted in Our Heritage,” features information on how to grow a wide variety of heritage crops, maintain a healthy soil, hand-pollinate your own plants, find an heirloom seed library in your area and more.
The calendar also offers bonus materials and highlights that include growing advice, pest management tips, food preservation recommendations and recipes from WVU Extension Service experts.
To obtain a copy of the calendar, while supplies last, or learn more about gardening and healthy lifestyles, contact the WVU Extension Service office in Tucker County at 304-478-2949 ext:209.
Beginning in early 2020, the calendar also will be available online and will feature bonus articles geared toward helping growers make the most of their gardening efforts.
