Delton Carl “Bud” Knotts

Delton Carl “Bud” Knotts, Jr., 86, a resident of the St. George community, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 20, 2019, at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown.
Bud graduated from Parsons High School, served in the U.S. Army in Korea, and attended the Leadmine United Methodist Church. He retired from Bethlehem Steel.

Bud was a son of the late Delton Carl Knotts, Sr. and Louise Josephine Knotts. He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Wanda Jean Knotts, three daughters, Donna Jean Miller of South Carolina, Susan Diane Horton and husband, Mark, of Maryland, Cathy Jo Knotts and husband, Mitchell Pinnix, of Northern California; five sisters, Pauline Lowther, Arlene Ramsey, Patricia Wilfong, Judy Ternent and husband, Harry, and Norma Jones and husband, Keith; one brother, Norman Knotts and wife, Gabriella; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, Ryan Warrenfeltz, and wife, Sally, with their children, Ryan Jr., Megan, Jack; Holly Armstrong and husband, Kevin, with their children, Eliana, Benjamin, Samuel; and Andrew Horton; as well as several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Preceding Bud in death besides his parents are three sisters, Malora Corbin, Adelene Snyder, and Karen Knotts, three brothers, Mervin, Clarence, and William A. Knotts and son, Michael Carl Knotts.

Bud appreciated the love and support of family, neighbors and friends in the Leadmine community, especially over the last year.

Visitation was at the Hostetler Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., the funeral hour. Rev. Brad Barton officiated, and interment followed at Bethel Cemetery in Holly Meadows. The Hostetler Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements for Delton Carl “Bud” Knotts.
