Charley Young “Chuck” Dumire, age 72 years, a resident of the Moore Community, Montrose, WV, departed this life Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at the United Hospital Center at Bridgeport, WV, with his family by his side.
He was born Wednesday, November 20, 1946 at Couer’d Alene City, Idaho, a son of the late Albert Young and Bessie Susan Hovatter Dumire. On June 8, 1973 at Parsons, WV, he was married to the former Mary Michael “Mikie” Edmond, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, Charley Young Dumire, II and wife Melinda Sue “Mindy” “Mindell”; two grandchildren, Carley Marie Dumire and Charley Young Dumire, III, all the Moore Community, Montrose; one sister, C. Louise Markiewicz of Conemaugh, PA; and nieces and nephews.
He was a graduate of Parsons High School with the class of 1964. He was a former employee of R. H. Armstrong, D & W of Parsons, and Rish Equipment Co., LaRosa Fuel, Ricottilli Lumber Co. and alongside with his son, he was owner and operator of “Two Chucks Repair”. He was a Methodist by faith. He was a most generous person to be around. He loved to spend time with his family, who meant the world to him, and he enjoyed working and helping other people.
The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, WV on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. Final rites were conducted at the funeral home on Friday, October 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. Rev. Pat Cassidy officiated and interment followed at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, WV. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for Charley Young “Chuck” Dumire.
