We can still take deposits for our cruise to the Southern Caribbean February 6 – 18, 2021. The deposit is $100 and needs to be paid as soon as possible to hold the cabin. We only have so long before the tour company has to turn the cabins back over to the cruise line and then if you can get a cabin, the price may go up. We’ve had several questions. We want to let you know that this will be a bus trip to Baltimore, MD to get on the ship. There is NO air flight involved. The prices are $1600, $1650, or $2000 depending on the type of cabin you want. If you need further details, please call Linda Bonner at 304-478-2423.
Traveler needed! We have 1 lady who would like to go on this cruise but does not have a roommate. If you would like to go on this cruise but need a roommate for this cruise, contact Linda Bonner at 304-478-2423. I’ll put you in contact with the other traveler and you can decide what you want to do.

FOSTER GRANDPARENT PROGRAM
The Foster Grandparent program is in need of some new foster grandparents. This program is open to volunteers 55 and over who can serve between 12 and 20 hours a week. Foster grandparents help children with special and exceptional needs: educational, social, emotional, and/or physical. Foster grandparents provide wisdom, experience, and tranquil love. They may often fill a void sometimes created in today’s fast and furious world.
Sharing your time and experience can help children learn how to read, prepare younger students for school readiness, tackle tough subjects, and make decisions that keep them on the right path. . They will match your skills and passions to opportunities that interest you.
You don’t need formal experience in tutoring or mentoring. You will receive pre-service orientation and training. You will receive a tax-free hourly stipend of $2.65 per hour and mileage of $.54 to help cover costs for income eligible volunteers. Volunteers even receive supplemental, accident, and liability insurance while you are volunteering. There is even paid sick leave and holiday days paid. This is not a salary. You are a volunteer not an employee so you can set your own hours and days.
For more information or to volunteer, please call Michelle Williams, program coordinator at 304-621-1279. Tucker county students really need you, so please consider helping out these children to get off on the right foot to their journey in life.
