Angie Virginia Turner Dumire Mcdaniel, age 80 years, a resident of Hambleton, WV, departed this life early Friday morning, November 8, 2019 at her home with her loving family at her side and under the care of Mountain Hospice.

She was born Sunday, January 1, 1939 at Hendricks, WV, a daughter of the late Delbert Junior and Ottie Mary Stevens Strahin Turner.  She was twice married, first to James Edward Dumire, Jr., and Charles William McDaniel, Sr., both who preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Robert J. “Buzzy” Dumire and wife Helen Louise, and Charles William McDaniel, Jr. and wife Maggie, all of Hambleton; one daughter, Pamela Ann Dumire Fritter and husband Gary E., Sr. of Hanover, PA; one brother, David Strahin and wife Wilda of Porterwood; four grandchildren, Christina L. Fritter Hoover and husband Barry, Jr., Gary E. Fritter, Jr., Angie Marie McDaniel and companion Travis Credal and Virginia R. McDaniel and companion Joey Eddy; nine great grandchildren, Barry A. Hoover, III and companion Caitlyn Little, Sarah A. Hoover, Lindsay M. Hoover, Meghan E. Fritter, Katherine E. Fritter, Alyssia Carr, Madison Carr, Ivy Grace Credal and Matthew J. Eddy; and two great great grandchildren, Barry A. Hoover, IV and John W. Hoover.

Preceding her in death are one son, Samuel Rudolph Dumire; five brothers, Maynard Strahin, Kenneth Strahin, Delbert Turner, Jr., Robert Turner, and Joe Turner, Sr.; and one sister, Ruth Turner Schroder.

She attended the Hamrick Elementary School and later continued her education to receive her GED in 1999.  She was employed at St. Joseph’s Passionist Monastery in Baltimore, MD, where she cooked for the religious order and parish for a total of thirteen years.  She retired in 1992 to moved back to West Virginia.  She enjoyed making crafts of all kinds and liked to play bingo, going to the casino and trips to visit family.  She loved yard sales, doll babies and angels.

As per Angie V. McDaniel’s last wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral services.  Her ashes will be laid to rest beside her husband, Charles McDaniel, Sr. in a brief graveside service at Fansler Cemetery, Hendricks, WV, Saturday November 16 at 2 p.m.  Services will be given by Reverend J.R. Mayle.  A celebration of life will immediately follow at the Pentecostal Church of God, Hambleton, WV.  The family welcomes all to attend.  The family suggest that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to; Fansler Cemetery Fund, Breast Cancer Awareness at Davis Medical Center or Mountain Hospice.  The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, WV is in charge of the arrangements for Angie Virginia Turner Dumire Mcdaniel.  Concolences may be expressed to the family at; www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
