HAMBLETON – The Tucker Valley Boys’ Basketball team opened the season with a pair of home games against Petersburg on Monday December 9th. In the JV contest Tucker Valley fell to Petersburg by the score of 51-40. Tucker Valley JV was led in scoring by Nate Ricottilli with 11 points and Mikey Mitchell added 8 points for the Wildcats JV in the loss. In the varsity contest Tucker Valley picked up the win by the final score of 48-20. Ashton Lycliter led the Wildcats with 17 points and Ethan Rosenau added 15 points in the win for Tucker Valley.
HAMBLETON – The Wildcats Boys’ Basketball team hosted Elkins Middle for 2 game on Thursday December 12th. In the first game the Tucker Valley JV team fell to the visiting Hornets 45-30. The Wildcats JV team was led in scoring by Mikey Mitchell with 11 points and Xander Lambert added 6 points in the loss for the Tucker Valley JV. In the varsity contest the homestanding Wildcats took to victory over Elkins by the final score of 42-34. Tucker Valley was led in scoring by Ashton Lycliter with 15 points. Ethan Rosenau and Garrett Wilfong added 8 points each for the Wildcats in the victory.
Tucker Valley(2-0) will return to action with a road game on Thursday December 19th at Union. Then the Wildcats will play Davis-Thomas at TCHS on Saturday December 21st with action starting around 5:30pm. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
