Mountaineer Garden Club members announced Linda Sherman’s interpretation of “Hark The Herald Angels Sing” won first place in the annual Christmas floral event at Citizen’s Bank in Parsons. Sherman’s white winter wreath with a beautiful antique angel as the centerpiece interpreted her song choice perfectly.
Second place winner, Glenda Lipscomb displayed the “Twelve days of Christmas” in the many characters she chose for her display, topped off by a Mr. and Mrs. Nutcracker.
Faith Moore’s “Silver Bells” interpretation included as the center piece a four piece cathedral mirror topped with silver bells and surrounded by a white wreath was chosen for third place. The Mountaineer Garden Club meets the first Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m at the library beginning in February. New members are welcome to join and can contact any member for information.
