Beulah Burl Pierce Brown

While Hark the Herald Angels Sing played in the background Beulah Burl Pierce Brown finished her life’s journey at Cortland Acres Nursing Home in Thomas on Monday, December 24, 2019.

Beulah was born on Thursday, September 14, 1922, in Richwood, to the late Thomas Howard and Mable Holly Pierce. On September 15, 1939, she married William Henry Brown. Together they enjoyed 69 years of marriage and raised four sons: Daniel Ray, David Roy, William Andrew, and Delmas Cleveland. Mrs. Brown is survived by one son, William son, William Andrew Brown of South Dakota, grandchildren Cathy (WV), Denise (WV), Temple (OH), Steven (TN), Dani Rachelle (WV), Sheryl (CA), Mark (AZ), Stephen (AZ), Sonya (OH), Rebecca (WV), Wesley (WV), Michael (WV), and Eric (WV), 26 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Beulah loved her Lord, Jesus Christ, and worshipped as a member of the Mannington Church of the Nazarene in Mannington, WV then later at Mount Carmel United Methodist Church in Millry, AL. While in Alabama she regularly visited many local churches to participate in revivals and worship.

Family and friends gathered for graveside services at the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Millry, AL on Sunday, December 29, 2019, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mount Carmel Cemetery at 414 Mount Carmel Road, Millry, AL 36558.
