Thomas, WV – The close of 2019 meant the end of a decade and the opportunity for Cortland to renew, reinvigorate and plan for the future. Staff and management at Cortland Acres took advantage of the occasion once again to celebrate the accomplishments of the previous year and make resolutions for a successful 2020.
“Our New Year’s toast is a chance to articulate strategies for Cortlands’ future,” explains administrator Beth Clevenger. “We’ve had so many wonderful successes this past year – the introduction of our highly successful music therapy program with residents and the young folks with the Mountain Laurel Learning Cooperative just to name a few. We continue to pursue our multi-generational approach to improving the daily lives of our residents through additional partnerships like the new collaboration with students from Tucker County High School. Looking forward, we will continue to seek out and implement new practices that enrich the lives of our residents and staff. “
