THOMAS – The Davis-Thomas Boys’ Basketball team hosted East Hardy for a JV and Varsity game on Monday January 6th. In the JV game the Bears lost by the final score of 61-50. Logan Shahan led the Davis-Thomas JV with 11 points and Cole Carr was close behind with 10 points for the Bears JV in the loss. The Varsity game was a very close as Davis-Thomas come from behind to get the win 55-52. Trevan Bonner led Davis-Thomas with 18 points and Maddox Anderson followed with 17 points in the Bears win.
ROMNEY – The Davis-Thomas Girls’ Basketball team traveled to Romney Middle for a pair of games on Monday January 6th. In the JV contest the Lady Bears JV team fell in a close game 24-20. Isabella Bennett led Davis-Thomas JV with 7 points. Raven Matthews, Kelslynn Whitehair and Lily Rivera with 4 points each for the Davis-Thomas JV in the loss. In the Varsity game the Lady Bears got the win 42-14. MacKenzie Darby and Brooklyn Ball led Davis-Thomas in scoring with 8 points each.
THOMAS – The Davis-Thomas Boys’ Basketball team hosted Moorefield for 2 games on Thursday January 9th. In the JV contest the Davis-Thomas JV team fell in the close game by the final score of 44-41. Logan Shahan led the Bears JV team with 13 points and Cole Carr added 12 points for the Davis-Thomas JV team in the loss. In the Varsity game Davis-Thomas got the win in tight game 55-51. Maddox Anderson led the Bears in scoring with 31 points and Trevan Bonner chipped in with 8 points in the win for Davis-Thomas.
MOOREFIELD – The Lady Bears Basketball teams traveled to Moorefield for 2 games on Thursday January 9th. In the JV game the Davis-Thomas Girls’ JV team fell 40-16. Isabella Bennett led Davis-Thomas with 5 points. In the Varsity contest the Lady Bears dropped the game to Moorefield in a close contest 24-19. Rachel Felton led Davis-Thomas with 7 points in the Lady Bears loss.
The Davis-Thomas Girls’ will return to action tonight Wednesday January 15th at home against East Hardy. The Davis-Thomas Boys’ will return to action on Monday January 20th at home against Harman. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
