Tucker Valley Girls’ Basketball Update

PETERSBURG – The Tucker Valley Girls’ Basketball team traveled to Petersburg on Monday January 20th. In the first game the Tucker Valley JV team fell 24-15. Mckenna Evans led Tucker Valley JV with 9 points and Regan Herron added 6 points for the Lady Wildcats JV in the loss. In the Varsity contest Tucker Valley came up short in a tight contest by the score of 26-20. Brylee Wetzel led Tucker Valley with 8 points and Macy Helmick added 5 points in the Lady Wildcats loss.
HAMBLETON – The Lady Wildcats hosted Elkins for 2 games on Tuesday January 21st. In the JV contest Tucker Valley came up short as they lost the game 26-19. Maddy Helmick led the Tucker Valley JV with 12 points and Regan Herron chipped in with 3 points for the Lady Wildcats JV team in the loss. In the last game the Tucker Valley varsity team picked up the win over Elkins by the score of 43-32. Macy Helmick led Tucker Valley with 19 points and Brylee Wetzel added 16 points for the Lady Wildcats in the home win.
PHILIPPI – The Tucker Valley Girls’ Basketball team traveled to Philippi for a JV and Varsity contest on Thursday January 23rd. In the JV contest Tucker Valley picked up the win by the final score of 31-12. Olivia Triplett led the Lady Wildcats JV team with 8 points and Mckenna Evans added 7 points for the Tucker Valley JV in the win. In the varsity contest Tucker Valley also got the win by the final score of 44-23. Macy Helmick led the Lady Wildcats with 18 points and Brylee Wetzel added 12 points in the Tucker Valley victory.
The Lady Wildcats will return to action on Thursday January 30th at home against Kasson. Tucker Valley will then host Davis-Thomas at TCHS on Saturday February 1st and Tucker Valley will host Romney on Monday February 3rd. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
