ELKINS – Monongahela National Forest is closing an area of the Cheat-Potomac Ranger District to all public entry during helicopter timber sale operations in the Wolf Run Timber Sale area. This closure begins March 1 and could last several weeks. The closure is necessary to ensure public safety during timber sale operations. When helicopter operations are complete, the area will reopen to public use.
The closed area is northeast of Parsons in the Mill Run drainage. Heavy log truck traffic is expected on County Route 25 during times of active logging operations. Use caution when driving in this area.
