My first breath was taken on April 30, 1962. Last breath was taken on March 22, 2020. I was preceded in death by Stan “Coach” Sedmock, Darlene “Skippy” Sedmock both of Thomas, Wva.

I am survived by one sister Pamela Kay Caruthers and her husband Matthew Caruthers of Chantilly, Va. I have two extended families Cortland Acres and Facebook

Hello family and friends, My obituary has been prewritten by my own hand before my life extinguished.
I was a lifetime resident of Thomas, Wva.

Hark, I was college educated learning professional engineering and design and draftings. I worked for Quail Ridge Construction-3 years for Mt. Storm Power Station and 10 years for Virginia Power.

I developed Multiple Sclerosis at age 26. I have been a resident of Cortland Acres since August 15, 2000, where I served as resident council president for numerous years. I so loved the outdoors and football, especially quarterback. My greatest enjoyments were fly fishing and fly tying and storytelling. I served as an honorary firefighter and V.P. for Thomas Vol. Fire Dept.. I was a 4th-degree knight in Thomas Council 2010.

I leave you with this quote:

“Never curse the darkness, just light another candle”
Stanley J. Sedmock, Jr.

At the request of Champ, he was cremated. We will be planning a Celebration of Life for him after the precautions of Covid-19 have been lifted. We encourage our communities to support one another through leaving memories and condolences at www.hinklefennerfuneralhome.com. Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
