Also surviving are his twin brother, William Michael “Bill” Buchanan of Davis; and one sister, Elizabeth Ann Buchanan of St. George; special cousins, Andy Minear of St. George and Shasta Pifer of Davis; Uncle Steve Minear and Deanna of St. George; and several cousins and many friends.

Preceding him in death are his maternal grandparents, Donald and Yvonne Minear;      paternal grandmother, Judith Ann Buchanan; paternal great-grandparents Don and Nina Buchanan, maternal great grandparents, Bill and Leah Minear and Allen and Mary Shahan; and special Aunt, Madonna Burns.

He attended Tucker County High School.  He was a former employee of Hinchcliff Lumber Co, had worked previously on the Pipeline and currently working for the Kokosing Construction Co.  He was an Apprentice in the Labor Union.  He enjoyed playing the guitar, video games, hunting and competition shooting.

The family will have private viewing.  A graveside service took place on Monday, April 13, 2020 at 12 Noon at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, WV.  The Reverend Neil Parsons  officiated and interment followed.  We encourage our communities to support one another through leaving memories and condolences at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home website.  The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for James Delbert “Jim” Buchanan.
