The Rotary Club of Tucker County will be awarding three $1,000 Scholarships to Tucker County High School seniors who will be entering college or technical school next fall for the 2020/2021 school season. One scholarship was created to honor long-time Rotarian, Murray G. Dearborn, and is especially targeted for young entrepreneurs.
The application deadline has been extended and applications must be postmarked or emailed by the deadline of Friday, May 15, 2020 to be considered. Applications can be downloaded from the Club’s Facebook page or students can request an application by emailing alice@eastwestprinting.com. All applications must be completely filled out by the student and signed on the last page.
After a preliminary review by school staff, the Rotary Club scholarship committee will conduct a formal interview with the top applicants. Due to the current circumstances interviews may be conducted virtually rather than in person.
Scholarship recipients will be announced on the Tucker County Rotary Facebook page and in the Parsons Advocate on or before June 17.
