Patricia Ann Coughlin Ricottilli, age 75 years, a resident of the Moore Community, Parsons, WV, departed this life early Wednesday morning, May 6, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She had been in declining health.
She was born Thursday, August 24, 1944 at Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of the late James Albert and Antoinette Edna Derico Coughlin. On July 24, 1965 at Buckhannon, WV, she was married to Carlo Ricottilli, who survives. They had celebrated fifty-four years of marriage.
Also surviving are two sons, Ronald Patrick Ricottilli and wife Sarah of Moore, and James “Bryan” Ricottilli and wife Traci of Porterwood; one daughter, Lisa Carlene Killmer and husband Scott of Daniels, WV; one brother, Joseph Coughlin and wife Barbara of Bridgeport, WV; two sisters, Anna Marie Krocheski and husband Joseph of Tolland, CT, and Helena Sommerville and husband Robert of Westminster, MD; eleven grandchildren, Cameron Killmer of Huntington, Carly Rojas and husband Nicolas of Morgantown, Casey Killmer of Harrisonburg, VA, Mellissa Bonner and husband Michael of Parsons, Brittney Harris and husband Will of KY, Heather Thorn and husband Adam Thorn of Preston Co., Maria Beth Ricottilli and companion Emanuel Huffman of Harman, Sophia Grace Ricottilli and companion Nathan Stoop of Montrose, Liam Nicholas Ricottilli of Moore, and Nathaniel and Tyler Ricottilli of Porterwood; two great grandchildren, Izaelia River Huffman and Auratria Rose Huffman; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are one brother, James Coughlin, Jr.; and one sister, Mary Louise Newman.
She was a graduate of Buckhannon Upshur High School with the class of 1962. She was a former employee of the Sanitary Board at the City of Buckhannon. She and her husband traveled many places with his work to, Buckhannon, Walhalla, SC, Webster Springs, Craigsville, Iaeger, WV, Pikeville, KY and Warm Springs, VA, until they settled down in Moore, WV in 1974, when they started the current Ricottilli Lumber Co. She was a contributing force behind the family business, where she ran several aspects of the company. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at Parsons. She enjoyed flower gardening and was an excellent cook. She was in a bowling league in Parsons and Elkins, where she made many lifelong friends. She received most of her joy spending time with her family and grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Friday, May 8, 2020 from 6 PM to 8 PM. We ask that those attending follow the social distancing recommendations. A private family funeral ceremony will be held. The Rev. Father Timothy Grassi will be the celebrant and interment will follow at the Saint Vincent Cemetery at Kingsville at 1:15 PM on Saturday, May 9, 2020.
