Amanda Faye Harper-Rahman graduated Magna cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry from Fairmont State University on May 9, 2020. While attending FSU, she was named the Outstanding Freshman, Junior, and Senior in Chemistry. Amanda was accepted into the West Virginia University School of Medicine Class of 2024, and has been awarded the largest scholarship package given to WV students, covering half of tuition and fees. Special thanks to the Mountain Lion Fund, whose support was greatly appreciated and whose scholarships continue to allow Tucker County’s youth to pursue their dreams. Amanda was a 2016 high school graduate of TCHS.
Amanda is married to Tushar Rahman and is the daughter of Kimberly and Michael McPherson and Harold and Patty Harper. She has two brother’s, Harold and Travis Harper. Her Grandparents are Gary and Janet Nestor, Carol and the late Charlie Hebb, Jr. and Junior and the late Evelyn Harper. Great Grandparents are Leota Parsons, Betty Nestor and the late Charles and Christine Hebb.
