The following criminal complaint has been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate office:
William Robert Snyder: of Thomas, was charged with one count Brandishing and one count Domestic Assault. According to the compliant, on Wednesday, April 29 at approximately 3:45 p.m. the accused, identified as William Robert Snyder, did engage in a verbal altercation with his mother, Cindy Snyder, which resulted in her being in fear for her safety. As a result of said altercation, the accused allegedly retrieved an assault rifle from the bedroom and presented it to his mother as a show of force. According to the victim, the accused allegedly began talking out of his head and was not acknowledging that the victim was his mother. She stated he didn’t even acknowledge his own name or existence. She stated he became enraged and belligerent, allegedly threatening to ‘remove anyone from this property that doesn’t belong.” She stated this threat was directed at her specifically, considering the accused thought she was a stranger. She advised she did not know if the accused was under the influence of a controlled substance or having a mental break.
